Voluntary Disaster Relief Work

All Hands Volunteers

Volunteered with a leading Disaster-Relief NGO in the Sindhupalchowk region of Nepal, building schools following the devastation caused by the 2015 earthquake.

Skills & Interests

Architectural Skills

Model making, both by hand and laser cut  | Competent in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator,  Autocad, Microstation, Vectorworks, Sketch-Up and Artlantis  |  Confident with both Microsoft and Apple interfaces and key software such as Microsoft Office and Mac equivalents  |  Familiar with 3ds Max and Ecotect programmes  |   Completed a shortcourse (12 hours) on Autodesk’s Revit software (2015)

 

Additional Interests
I have attended several lectures in Bristol, Bath and London, most recently including a Pechakucha Evening at London’s Business Design Centre, Studio Mumbai at the Arnol Fini and Anthony Gormely at the AA. Exhibitions include: Matisse, Tate Modern, ‘Sensing Spaces’: The Royal Academy, ‘The Changing Face of British Architecture’: the Architectural Centre, Bristol. ‘Belfast/New Belfast’, ‘Charles Lanyon’s Belfast’: Place Architecture Centre, Belfast

Revit Training Course, Brewster Hjorth Architects, Sydney, Australia (12 hours) |  2015

Architectural workshop 2012 run by ASF and Architecture for Humanity, the ‘ROOTS’ workshop at WOMAD festival provided me with hands-on challenge using raw, local and recycled materials where the objective was to design and build a stage to accommodate musical and dance performances three days later.
