Voluntary Disaster Relief Work

All Hands Volunteers

Volunteered with a leading Disaster-Relief NGO in the Sindhupalchowk region of Nepal, building schools following the devastation caused by the 2015 earthquake.

Skills & Interests

Architectural Skills

Model making, both by hand and laser cut  | Competent in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator,  Autocad, Microstation, Vectorworks, Sketch-Up and Artlantis  |  Confident with both Microsoft and Apple interfaces and key software such as Microsoft Office and Mac equivalents  |  Familiar with 3ds Max and Ecotect programmes  |   Completed a shortcourse (12 hours) on Autodesk’s Revit software (2015)

I have attended several lectures in Bristol, Bath and London, most recently including a Pechakucha Evening at London’s Business Design Centre, Studio Mumbai at the Arnol Fini and Anthony Gormely at the AA. Architectural workshop 2012 run by ASF and Architecture for Humanity, the ‘ROOTS’ workshop at WOMAD festival provided me with hands-on challenge using raw, local and recycled materials where the objective was to design and build a stage to accommodate musical and dance performances three days later.
